Mississippi State University Percussion Studies

Welcome to the website of the Mississippi State University Percussion Studio. We exist within the Department of Music at MSU and serve students majoring in music and music education, as well as non-majors involved in ensembles and applied study. Our goal is to provide students with high-quality performance experiences that can both aid in their chosen career paths and enable a deeper understanding of music, regardless of major.

The MSU Percussion Studio is located at 283 East Lee Blvd., where percussion ensemble/steel band rehearses, private lessons are taught, and students have after-hours and weekend access to practice rooms. Larger ensembles such as marching band, wind ensemble, and jazz band meet at the Band and Choir Rehearsal Building, located at 72 Hardy Rd.. Both facilities contain a comprehensive collection of instruments for student use.
